Tratti fonetici dell’italiano della Ruhr tra percezione e non-percezione
Abstract
This paper presents, adopting variational methodology, linguistic analyses of some phonetic features of two Italian speakers in the Ruhr basin (Germany). These analyses serve as a basis for a test of language perception administered to two listeners: a bilingual woman from Calabria and a monolingual speaker from Abruzzo. From the test emerges, among other things, the ‘silent’ action of non-perceived features that are present in varieties of Italian spoken by people living outside Italy.
