Abstract

The article traces the rationale of Tesnière’s work, focusing on his proposal of graphic representations and giving two examples of formal analyses tested in school. They concern very relevant texts from a cultural point of view: although they are highly different from each other, both show how Tesnière’s stemmas are able to improve a powerful visualisation of authors’ message.
