Abstract

This paper focuses on the relationship between digital technologies and lifelong learning for teachers of foreign or second languages. This paper aims to promote new learning perspectives by means of online communities of practice in agreement with European Union directives about education and training in the context of the knowledge society. Three case-studies show how online communities of practice can have a key role in teaching and teacher education.
