Universi paralleli. Indicazioni e materiali per la riflessione grammaticale nella scuola primaria
Abstract
This article sums up some reflections on a sample of teaching materials, which were analysed taking into consideration the Indicazioni Nazionali per il primo ciclo (which are the national recommendations for the primary school issued in 2012 by the Italian Department for Education). I will focus mainly on the part of Indicazioni concerning explicit grammar and the reflection on language use. I will show that – as far as grammar issues are concerned – the "Indicazioni" are not precise and sometimes contradictory. Moreover, the analysis of the teaching materials will show they are structured in a normative way and there is little space left for real linguistic reflection.
