L’esperienza della grammatica valenziale nella prospettiva del gioco

Abstract

This paper presents a training to improve language skills, based on the dependency grammar model theorised by Tesnière in Elements of Structural Syntax, translated into Italian by Proverbio and Cerrina and disseminated in the Italian academic environment by Proverbio and Sabatini. The training, tested in primary and secondary schools with 167 participants, trains students’ syntactic and metalinguistic skills through a series of sentence generation and reformulation games. In the light of the experimental results, the model of dependency grammar applied in this way has demonstrated significant effectiveness in pursuing the goal of improving text writing in an academic environment.
