Che sardo si parla nei media televisivi? Appunti sulla lingua di neo-parlanti al microfono

Abstract

This paper examines lexical and phonological features found in the Sardinian language as spoken by television workers. Based on a corpus of television broadcasts of approximately 15 hours, I will show how the L1 of the speakers leads to significant simplifications in the stressed vowel system and notable inconsistencies in the consonant system. These features differentiate this type of speaker from those with native or near-native competence.
